So call upon Him by them

“Allah has the Most Beautiful Names. So call upon Him by them.”Quran 7:180

Allah loves His servants when they call upon Him by His names in dua, and ask of Him. He invited you to this — not only to know the names, but to raise your hands and speak to Him through them.

“Your Lord has said: Call upon Me; I will respond to you.”Quran 40:60

A name is not only something to memorize. When you know what it means, you can ask Allah through it — matching the name to the need in front of you.

How to use a name in dua

  1. Choose the name that fits what you are asking for.
  2. Begin with Ya and the name: “Ya Rahman.”
  3. Ask for what that attribute covers — mercy, forgiveness, provision, guidance.
  4. Use it after salah, in sujood, and whenever the need is present.
